Why Doesn’t Everyone Have Washboard Abs?
There are various reasons why everybody doesn’t just naturally have washboard abs. Genetics, diet and exercise all play a role in being able to get the ripped body and 6-pack abs that you desire. Get one area of this wrong and it will make it a lot harder for you to achieve the look you desire. Get more than one thing wrong and you will never see washboard abs.
Genes play a large role in the ease of being able to obtain the abdominal muscles as developed as you would like. Genetic factors consist of your metabolism, how your body stores fat and the way your body responds to working out. Every person has a natural layer of fat on their body, with the abdominal region typically being a bit thicker than other parts of the body. This gives a layer of security to the most important organs but can really get in the way of efforts to develop a six pack. If your genes have given you a thicker layer of fat than other people, it doesn’t imply you can not get the abs you have dreamed of but it will make you work harder to get there.
Diet is naturally an important factor. This does not automatically mean you need to lose weight, either. A good amount of skinny guys still don’t have a six pack, even when they exercise like crazy. Your goal with your diet should be to provide the nutrition that your body needs to build muscle yet still continue to burn fat in the process. This means you need to remain highly focused on getting the proper foods every day.
Exercise, naturally, is one of the biggest factors to getting washboard abs. You will need to constantly work on your abdominal muscles while still maintaining a workout regime that covers your entire body. This will take a lot of self-discipline, especially if your genes are not cooperative with your goal.
